THE RULER OF THIS WORLD HAS NOTHING IN US

“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30 (NKJV) Please pray before reading.

Remnant, the above statement was made by Jesus to His disciples. This conversation that He had with them was one of comfort and instruction. This was written for our learning. So, what are we to learn from this? 

Jesus said, “the ruler of this world is coming.” The word ruler here in the Greek is archón (Strong’s #758) and literally means ruler or chief. We all know that 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us that the god of this world is one who blinds the minds of the unbelieving. Satan can only blind the mind of those who do not truly believe; and that is exactly how he rules over them and has become the ruler of this world. 

Today we ask, “How was it that the ruler of this world had no power or authority over Jesus?” It is because Jesus is the Word of God Who became flesh and is dwelling among us. (1 John 1:14) Yes, friend, He is still in our midst. 

Satan never has had and never will have any power over the Word of God. He can only have power over those who are in unbelief. The Word of God holds the key to unlocking every deadbolt holding people in bondage to the god of this world. (Romans 10:17) Fear is a key indicator that satan is your ruler, because you are allowing him to blind your eyes from the divine liberty that the Word of God has for you in every situation!

Have you so soon forgotten, “… you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.” 1 Peter 1:23 (NASB)? Well then, having been born by and through the incorruptible Word of God, the god of this world has nothing in you either. He has no power or authority over you because… YOU BELIEVE! 

You believe that you are of God and that you have already overcome every agenda of the antichrist because greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) You believe that God has increased you and made you stronger than all your enemies. (Psalm 105:24) You believe the God of peace will soon crush satan under your feet. (Romans 16:20) Satan has nothing in us, because we believe all the promises, and we cannot be moved!
